This diet is based on consumption of foods that encourage the occurrence of a multitude of enzymes under the name sirtuin. Studies show that they hold metabolism under control , plus accelerated burning calories.
These are the foods that activate sirtuin:
- Drinks – green tea, unsweetened black coffee, red wine (especially Pinot Noir).
- Fruit and vegetables – citrus fruits, apples, blueberries, celery, kale, purple onion, arugula, chicory.
- Spices – parsley, turmeric.
- Other foods – dark chocolate with at least 75% cocoa, nuts, olive oil, salmon.
Basic rules of the diet:
- The first 3 days you enter 1,000 calories a day by eating 3 discomfited and one meal made of groceries from the list above.
- From the 4th to the 7th day, you enter 1,500 calories a day by consuming 2 discomfited and 2 meals.
